CAMBRE


The term Cambre is often heard in ballet, the literal translation is "arched." It often refers to as bending backwards or sideways from the waist and stretching backward or sideways with the head following the movement of the upper body and arms. It is a very common ballet step.

To be able to execute a cambre successfully, a dancer must be able to have full control the spine. To be able to reach the maximum bend, a dancer must be able to isolate each of their vertebrae almost in a wave like manner - this is where the movement present in this sculpture is derived from. 

Ideally, this would've been made a lot bigger and longer if we didn't have covid disruptions.


Here is the transcript of the Code; the commands for the motors were changing speed and direction, activate and deactivate, duration of each command and repetition.
